One of the most frequent questions I get from people with less than 5 years of experience is “Should I attempt the CISSP exam before I have the experience?” The certification vendor ISC2 offers something called the Associate of ISC2 (sometimes called CISSP Associate by people), where you can take the exam before you have the experience but not yet be certified. Unfortunately, many people do not fully understand the pros and cons of taking the exam early and how it impacts their career.

Join me in this video as we walk through the CISSP requirements, describe the Associate of ISC2, and talk about when it does and does not make sense to attempt the CISSP early. Do not be that professional who fails to consider the implications of their decisions on their careers.
